Charges against a couple arrested in November for allegedly running a prostitution ring were dropped today in Albemarle General District Court.

Pablo Castro, 28, and Sandra Morales, 22, were each charged with one felony count for receiving money or other valuables for the purpose of unlawful sexual intercourse in their Abbington Crossing apartment.

According to a release at the time of the arrest, an anonymous caller tipped off police. Gisela Martinez, 36, was charged with one count of prostitution, a misdemeanor, and allegedly told police she was brought to the apartment in the 700 block of Lords Court from Washington to service men.

So how do these things get dropped? Not guilty? Plea bargain?

Please tell me this. If the City fines Johnson Elementary School for not cleaninng their sidewalk from snow, do they just pay themselves or keep the money because the City owns the schools so why are they not responsible for assisting in the cleanings of the sidewalks.

Also, how come no one wants to address the lack of minority officers in Charlottesville. There are approx. 7 and Chville has a 35% minority population…????

And they are not deported why?

  • ontheroad33 January 13th, 2011 | 4:59 pm

They are not deported because the govt doesn’t care anymore. I have a friend who works for ICE and they have been told to “back off”. Its over folks, the law means nothing.

Why would you assume that they are not American citizens and should be deported?
