Meet Your Neighbor

Hope Community Center wants folks to get to know each other. That’s why they’re hosting a Meet Your Neighbor Festival at various parks around town throughout the summer. The whole community is invited to come out and get acquainted with neighbors and to get to know what is going on in our community. 242-2273.

Saturday, July 11 at Washington Park - Dance to live reggae, jazz, and pop.

Saturday, July 18 at Lee Park - Hear sustainable living experts speak and participate in a tree planting ceremony.

Saturday, July 25 at Hope Park, behind Hope Community Center (341 11th St., NW) - Local authors share poetry, lyrics, and stories from all walks of life.

Saturday, August 8 at Tonsler Park - Come out and meet your neighbor for a shared, fun learning activity.

Saturday, August 15 at Lee Park - The World in Focus.

Saturday, August 22 at Rives Park - Health workshop and screening.

Saturday, August 29 at Hope Community Center (341 11th St., NW) - Neighborhood block party and final symposium.
