Lexington Hot-Air Balloon Rally

The Lexington Hot-Air Balloon Rally adds color and excitement to this Fourth of July weekend. Kids can enjoy pony rides, games, face painting, and moon bounce. Live musical entertainment, an antique-car display, food and craft vendors, tethered balloon rides, and fireworks at dusk round out the fun for the whole family. “Eleanore’s MarketPlace” (a tag sale of gently used items) returns this year on Saturday 9am-1pm.

The highlight of the weekend is the gathering of colorful hot-air balloons for a rally over the scenic Shenandoah Valley. Visitors seeking a breathtaking trip may purchase rides for the evenings of July 3 and 4 or the mornings of July 4 and 5. Launch times are scheduled for 6:30pm and 6:30am, but may vary because of weather and winds. For information and reservations, call 540-461-0402.
