Tough times? Then partner up! That’s what The Happy Cook and the Charlottesville Cooking School are doing. Soon THC customers will be able to sign up for CCS classes and CCS students will get a $15 THC gift certificate after class. In the spring, CCS teachers will do demos at THC. “The partnership meets a need on both sides,” says CCS founder Martha Stafford (pictured). “So it made sense to try and work together.”
How bad is it for the UVA men’s basketball this season? Despite a win last month over ranked ACC foe Clemson, the Cavaliers and head coach Dave Leitao enter their last game of the regular season at home against Maryland on Saturday with a record of 9-17. Should the Cavaliers fall to the Terrapins, it will be the first time the Cavs have failed to win at least 10 games since the 1967-68 season, when UVA finished the regular season with a record of 9-15 under head coach Bill Gibson.

WoW! Looks like a pedestrian hazard. The snow melting during the day onto the sidewalk will freeze over at night. An older person walking by could slip and break their hip, bad news!
