news-cornerspill A trash truck suffered a malfunction Wednesday morning that coated the intersection of University Avenue and the Corner Parking Lot with hydraulic fluid, according to an officer working the scene. Eastbound traffic slowed, and westbound traffic was detoured onto nearby 14th Street during the August 12 incident, whose remedy included application of an absorbent compound. The vehicles cleared around 9am. (Still bearing the imprint of BFI, the truck may now belong to Allied Waste, which belongs to Republic Services.)
