Coghill pleads guilty to latest charge

Coghill Jr., a former area developer who served 30 months in prison for bank and wire fraud, pleaded guilty August 13 to obstruction of justice in U.S. District Court in Lynchburg. The latest indictment accuses Coghill of engaging in financial transactions in violation of the probation order stemming from his 2006 conviction in which he also was ordered to pay $2.8 million to Anchor Capital out of Potomac, Maryland, and $170K to First Western Investment of Charlottesville. Sentencing is November 23.
