Having taken some heat for insisting on upgrading a location in the way of a new road, the Regal Cinemas chain reveals via press release that it’s getting courted by the developer of another location on Seminole Trail (and that it’s been doing a land-office business at its existing Charlottesville locations.)
Get me a stadium seating place stat!
I guess the county better get as little more reasonable if they want investment.
If they actually build new ones (probably will never occur) it will be great to watch the discussion of what to do with the old ones. That will go on for decades. Just like the luxury pile of scrap iron on the historic downtown mall. In 2020 it will look as good as it does today.
Whatever it takes, do it. Just get the damn thing built. Maybe it’ll go up where Walmart is.
