news-massanutten-slopes Massanutten Resort, near Harrisonburg, may have closed its ski season in late March, but a few slivers of snow lingered on until at least 2pm on Thursday, April 15, as seen in this image by pilot/photographer Skip Degan. A few miles to the north, in the George Washington National Forest, the plume from a prescribed burn rears its head. Meanwhile, Massanutten is fighting a lawsuit filed last month over an allegedly paralyss-causng 2009 accident that occurred on its sledding hill. news-massanutten-burn
