Charlottesville police say that the juvenile who turned himself in for allegedly shooting a 13-year-old girl at Forest Hills Park was 14. The shooting— a case of an innocent bystander getting hit in the leg by a stray shot from an altercation, according to Lt. Gary Pleasants— occurred September 9 around 6:10 pm. The girl was reportedly treated and released the same evening.
