Berklee-educated Bostonian songwriter Patty Larkin pushes the boundaries of folk music with a show at Gravity Lounge — and with her newest CD, “Watch The Sky,” which further showcases her tricky six-string skills and augments them with left-field takes on the instrument such as bowed baritone guitar and detuned lap steel played with a drumstick.

Get it while it’s hot — the album is probably still settling in on the store shelves given its 1/22 release date.
