After twenty-five years of making records, David Wilcox was so into the idea of stripping down the arrangements used for his songs on his latest album that he even avoided overdubbing background vocal harmonies; that’s quite a hard-line approach for a folky singer-songwriter type to take. “Airstream” hits shelves on March 4, so his Gravity Lounge performance the following evening — solo, of course — will be an inauguration of sorts.
