Proposed wood recycling center dealt blow

A wood recycling center, proposed for the site of what was once seen as an outdoor theater for Keswick, was dealt a blow February 17 by the Albemarle Planning Commission, according to Charlottesville Tomorrow.

    Pat, Click on the side piece. Everything is explained. So glad people are protesting a nasty possibility.

    The is ridiculous. When a new business considers locating in Albemarle, the county should help in any way possible. For starters, repeal the business license tax like Fluvanna.

    Also, too many commercial resources are being ruined by residential development. Keswick Estates should have been a commercial district, as with all areas along and near I64 exits and railways. We have destroyed precious commercial resources (railroad and interstate highway access) with too much residential development. This would have been a wonderful, well-located facility that diverts material from landfills by recycling. Instead we have a bunch of ugly houses with too many people and not enough jobs.
